OVERVIEW

1. Machi Koro 5th Anniversary Edition will be used for the tournament.

2. All players are required to be at the venue latest by 7.30pm.

3. Short briefing of the game rules will be given on the actual day between 7.30pm to 7.50pm.

4. Since there are only four participants, all participants will be contesting in the Final directly on 7th May 2024 (Tue). The final will last for one hour.

5. Players are encouraged to watch the How to Play video prior to the match to familiarise with the gameplay.

HOW TO PLAY

Rules & Regulations

1.1 Etiquette

(i) All players are expected to behave in the spirit of the game and show generous sportsmanship and considerate behaviour.

(ii) Players must handle the game components in a suitable manner. Inappropriate handling may result in disqualification.

(iii) If a player is not present for the match that he/she is supposed to be in, the player will be treated as a no-show and deemed disqualified.

1.2 Spectators

(i) Spectators should generally observe Tournament as quietly and unobtrusively as reasonably possible. Spectators must not direct attention to mistakes or illegal actions in a
game nor should they comment on a game which includes asking the
score during a match.

(ii) While a match is in progress, spectators are not allowed to signal or help the players in any way.

(iii) A player may make a request to the Tournament Referee that one or more spectators be barred from watching the match.

1.3 The game

(i) Touching the dice while they are live is generally discouraged. The dice are deemed to be live where the turn in progress has not been completed.

(ii) In general, if a player rolls the dice before his opponent has finished his turn, the roll results will be counted and may only be retaken if the opponent permits it.

(iii) When a match is in progress, players are not allowed to receive signals or help in any other way from spectators.

(iv) Breaks are not allowed during the one hour after the match has started.

(iv) If a dispute arises during the match, the Tournament Referee has the right to settle the dispute, and any decision made by the Tournament Referee thereafter is deemed as final.

1.4 Determining the Winner for the Final

(i) The first player to successfully flipped over all FOUR landmarks cards will trigger the end game and is considered the winner of the tournament.

(ii) In the event there is no player trigger the end game within the one-hour match, the winner will be determined through the following order:

(a) Has the most flipped landmarks cards;

(b) If tied, has the most coins;

(c) If tied, has the least establishment cards;

(d) And if still tied, play Scissors Paper Stone to determine the winner.

1.5 Photo taking and filming

The tournament organizers may record the match by way of photo taking or by filming or both.
